Description

Odontolabis dalmanni is a type of stag beetle that measured between 60 and 65 mm. It can be found in thick forested areas over 600 m above sea-level. The adult male beetle have dirty looking and slender body. The head is black and much smaller compared to the prothorax. The mandibles are hard and measured about 12 mm in length. The tips of the mandibles are flattened and saw-like. The legs are quite long and black in colour (Tung, 1983).
