Description

Habenaria reflexa is a monopodial and terrestrial plant measuring at about 14 – 15 cm high. The stems of this species are very short, measure at about 3 – 4 cm long and covered with one basal sheath. This orchid species has six to ten leaves which are spirally arranged, thin, slightly leathery and its upper half margin is slightly wavy with acute tip. The inflorescences of this species are terminal and measure at about 30.4 cm long. The floral bracts are green, triangular, measure at about 1.2 – 1.6 cm long and tip acuminate. The flowers of this species are well-spaced, widely open and pale green with dorsal sepals and petals fused together into a hood with 4 mm long. The petals of this species are triangular while its lateral sepals are reflexed with its lower edge is strongly curved at about 9 mm wide. The distribution of this species occurs in Thailand, Indonesia and Peninsular Malaysia. In Perlis, this species was found in Bukit Merah.
