Description

Fejervarya nicobariensis is a small slender frog. The tympanum is distinct. Meanwhile, the first finger is longer than the second finger. The inner and outer metatarsal tubercle is present. This species has dark stripe on side of head and body and white or brown uniform spotted on venter. Males grow to a snout-vent length of 37 - 47 mm while females grow to 47 - 53 mm. This species inhabits in degraded, secondary forest and scrubs. In Ulu Muda Forest Reserve, this species can be found on bushes nearby forest stream. The altitudinal range of this species is at about 0 - 1500m. The distribution of this species can be found in Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.
