Description

Nepogomphus fruhstorferi is a species of clubtail dragonfly that belongs to family Gomphidae. Its hindwings may measure up to 23 mm in length. This species can be easily recognised by its small size and robust, basally creamy, long forcipate superior anal appendage. These features differ from Nepogomphus walli by its slightly larger size and shorter, less curved inferior anal appendage (Orr, 2005). It occurs in small clear forest streams, from 100-650 m a.s.l. It can be found in Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia) and Indonesia (Dow, 2020).
