Description

Cookeina sulcipes is a type of cup fungus belongings to the family Sarcoscyphaceae. It has bright colour stipes and hairs. Compared to C. tricholoma, C. sulcipes is larger in cup size and has shorter hairs at the cup edge. Also, it has shorter central stipe and is found growing solitarily or in groups on dead woods in the forest. This wild cup fungus is edible by some people, but not all Malays.
