Description

This fungus has oval to egg-shaped cap when young and expanding to bell-shaped. It has greyish with a brownish centre, finely granular to hairy and deeply pleated from the margin almost to the centre. This fungus has very thin, fragile and white flesh while the gills are white to grey, broad distant and do not deliquesce or auto-digest. Its stipe is whitish, slightly hairy and hollow. This beautiful fungus can often be found growing in large numbers on dead logs and on the soil.
