Description
Euploea radamanthus or commonly known as Magpie Crow is measuring about 5 cm long. The male has blue-glossed black wings with light blue peripheral spots and a white patch at the forewing costa and hindwing dorsum. The female is brown with more extensive white forewing bar and white hindwing streaks (Kirton, 2014). This species occurs from Indo-China, through Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Palawan. It inhabits inland forest in the lowlands and highlands. This butterfly can often be found along roadsides that close to the forest and it may settle on damp ground especially male (Kirton, 2014).
