Leptobrachella mjobergi or commonly known as Mjoberg’s Dwarf Litter Frog is a small (approximately 20 mm) and slender frog belongs to the Megophryidae family. It is endemic to Borneo and is native to Sarawak (Malaysia), Brunei and northeastern Kalimantan (Indonesia). It was found occurring at low elevations of primary, secondary and even disturbed forests. This frog lives along small streams and in hilly lowland forests from 150 to 500m above sea level and breeds along small, clear, rocky streams (Inger & Stuebing, 2005; IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, 2019).
The Mjoberg’s Dwarf Litter Frog is brown or black, with dark markings on its thighs, shoulders and between its eyes. The skin on the back is smooth and the sides have white glands that can form into a low, narrow, broken ridge. There is no distinct black streak over its eardrum, its foot lacks webbing and has pointed toe and fingertips. The chest is flecked with brown while the rest of its belly is usually unmarked (Inger & Stuebing, 2005).
