Leptobrachella palmata, commonly known as the Web-footed Dwarf Litter Frog is the smallest species in the genus Leptobrachella from the Megophryidae family. This native species of Malaysia is endemic to Sabah where it was found at only a single locality in Lipaso Forest Reserve occurring along a stream bank in a hilly forest at 310 m above sea level (IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, 2018). The male of Web-footed Dwarf Litter Frog grows approximately 14-17 mm. This frog is the only species in the genus that have well-developed foot webbing. The skin on the frog's back and belly are smooth and has rounded glands on its sides. It is brown above and white below with dark crossbars patterning on the limbs (Inger & Stuebing, 2005). This species has been listed as Critically Endangered under the IUCN Red List due to habitat loss (IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, 2018).
