Description

Polypedates macrotis is known commonly as the Dark-eared or Masked Tree Frog. It can be found in Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. Its head broad and triangular, its snout rounded in profile and projecting while the tympanum distinct. The disks of toes of this species are smaller than those of fingers. The measurement of snout-vent length (SV) is at about 60 - 90 mm. This species inhabits edges of secondary growth and primary forests. In Ulu Muda Forest Reserve, this species was collected in low bushes near fast flowing stream.
