Staurois tuberilinguis (Green-spotted Rock Frog) is a frog species of primary forest in the hilly country from about 200 to 1800 m above sea level. It is never found away from small rocky streams. This species is endemic to Borneo and is known from Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak and northeastern Kalimantan (IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, 2018).
The Green-spotted Rock Frog is a small, slender frog with a pointed snout and long, slender hind limbs. It has fine pebbles with many round or oval, unequal-sized swellings on the back skin. Its upperparts are slightly metallic hue of brown with irregular greenish patches. There is a greenish-white patch behind the eye and a similarly coloured mottling along the side. The underparts of the head is light blue-green, with dark spots. The chest and belly are bluish-white. The tops of the inner toes and the upper surface of the webbing are chalky bluish-white (Inger and Stuebing, 2005).
