Horned Tree Lizard has moderately compressed bodies and vertebral crests formed by a single row of scales. This species features are the long spines behind the orbit and on the side of the neck (which in adults are as tall as the diameter of the eye), the high nuchal and dorsal spiny crests and the naked tympanum. It is usually seen at rest low on slender trees in rainforest and it feed mainly in earthworms. Clutches of 9-15 eggs producing by females.
