The reddish-brown body of Jasper Cat Snake has irregular black and thin pinkish-white lines on the vertebral ridge. The body has black-based white or yellow dots on the sides of the body. This handsome snake prefers humid, well-watered areas at elevations up to 1,100m. Clutches of 6 eggs and 40cm hatchlings resemble adults are known.
