Description
Ficedula hyperythra commonly known as the snowy-browed flycatcher is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. This species is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and montane forests.
The snowy-browed flycatcher measures about 12 cm in length, has a round head with white stripes above the front of its eyes, and a black bill. It is ash blue above, has deep orange throat and chest, white lower chest, and grey-pink legs. The females are brown, with a yellow-brown face, and a buff eye stripe. Its diet includes insects, spiders, earthworms, and berries.
