Description
The head of Big-eyed Mountain Keelback is distinct and the eyes are large with round pupils. There is a black chevron on the neck and its apex pointed toward the head. The head and body are brown to grey; yellowish or reddish spots along the vertebral ridge and black spots on the sides. This species is often found in forest near streams at altitude between 150 and 2,000m. It preys on frogs and a clutch of 10 eggs is known.
