This White-bellied Rat Snake is brown above but sometimes with a red vertebral stripe. The head is long and distinct, its shields large. The large eyes have round pupils. The body is slightly compressed and its scales are smooth. This active snake preys on rats and lizards. It can be found up to 914m. This rare snake occurs in southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, and Borneo and nearby islands.
