Blotched Forest Skink is distinctively variegated olive-green and brownish with several large black blotches at the side of the neck and on the chest. There are 28 smooth scales around mod-body, the median two series of dorsals are enlarged and the prefrontals are paired and in contrast. Three pairs of oblique nuchals are present and the median subcaudals are little wider than adjoining scales. This species can be found among forest litter and decaying tree roots in montane evergreen rainforest with dense undergrowth between 800m and 1,280m.
