Description

Long-tailed Lizard is the amazing little lizard that has a tail almost six times as long as its head-body length. The ventral and tail scales are large and strongly keeled. The long tail prevents it from falling as it climbs deliberately or moves rapidly through stands of tall tangled, interconnected grass or loosely matted grass and fine bamboo. This species is mostly active in sunny weather and ranges from sea level up to 1,500m altitude. It deposits two or three eggs on the ground and usually at the base of a clump of grass or other vegetation.
