Description
The head of Dumerils Monitor is bold orange and giving rise to its common name. It can be characterized by the oblique and slit-like nostrils that located close before the eyes. It is reddish areas on the side of the neck and dark with yellow crossbands on the body. It inhabits dense evergreen rainforests and mangrove forests, particularly on islands. This monitor inhabits southern Myanmar and Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo.
