The given variable is not an array and contains a null value.
Polyplectron malacense also known as Malaysian peacock-pheasant is a medium-sized pheasant with measurements around 40–53 cm long, in which 25 cm is the tail length for an adult male (Strange & Jeyarajasingam, 1993). Generally, the adult male has dark buffy brown plumage with blue-green eyespots on the back and tail. It also has a glossy blue-green crest on its forehead and orange facial skin around its eyes. The appearance of a female pheasant is quite similar to a male but with a much shorter tail and duller colour.
This pheasant is an extreme lowland specialist (IUCN, 2016). It inhabits deep forest by moving on the forest floor either singly or in pairs but never in small groups. Both sexes make a harsh cackling sound mostly during breeding especially from February to late July.
