The Olive-winged bulbul (Pycnonotus plumosus) is a species of bird belongs to the Pycnonotidae (Bulbul) family. It is measured about 20.5 cm in length (Strange & Jeyarajasingam, 1993). P. plumosus has olive-brown upperparts, dull brown underparts with yellow undertail coverts and olive-yellow flight feathers. It also has red iris and white streaks on the side of its head.
This species is endemic throughout Sundaland. It is distributed in lowland rainforest of Peninsular Malaysia where it can be seen in forest edge, coastal scrub and plantations (Jeyarajasingam & Pearson, 2012). The Olive-winged bulbul produces melodious bubbling call especially in the early morning (Strange & Jeyarajasingam, 1993).
