The mature cap for this species is between 110-200 mm wide, convex to plane and white to cream with a smooth margin. Layer of snuff brown located at the center of the cap. When bruised, the white flesh slowly turns reddish brown. White to cream of crowded gills when young but it turns to greyish green when matured. This fungus can be easily recognized by its olivaceous to greyish green spore print and it commonly can be found growing on lawns and along grassy roadside. This fungus cannot be eaten because it is poisonous.
