The taxonomic status is pending for approval

Description

This species is called Golden Flat-head Goby and it has elongate and compressed body; slightly depressed head; united medially pelvic fins; sensory canals and pores present on head and longitudinal pattern of sensory papillae on cheek. Its head and body are light yellowish brown and darkened dorsally and body with midlateral series of five dusky blotches, as well as many faint irregular dusky lines and spots dorsally. It found in lower reaches of large rivers, mangroves, brackish estuaries and adjacent shallow coastal waters with sandy-mud bottoms.
