Description

White Sardine’s body is deep and compressed; belly strongly keeled with 17-19 prepelvic and 10-12 postpelvic. It has smooth opercle, without bony radiating striae. The colour of its body is semi-translucent with broad silvery midlateral stripe and darkish inner edges of caudal fin broadly. This schooling fish is found in coastal and inshore waters.
