Description

Indian Mackerel has slightly deep and compressed body; head longer than body depth; well-developed adipose eyelid; two dorsal fins widely separated; short pectoral fins and body covered with small scales. Its head and body are bluish green dorsally and silvery white ventrally and yellowish of first dorsal, caudal and pectoral fins. This species is found in coastal waters and feeds on macrozooplanktons.
