Description

This species is commonly known as Spotted Scat. It has quadrangular and strongly compressed body; small and terminal mouth and relatively large eye that its diameter slightly shorter than snout length. Its ground colour of head and body are greenish; juveniles with a few large round blotches being almost equal to eye in size or 5-6 wide dark and vertical bars while adults with less distinct dark blotches or markings. It usually found in estuarine ecosystem extended to uppermost streams freshwater river tributaries.
