Epiphyte   —   Growing on another organism but not parasitic. Not growing on the ground.
Local to locally common epiphyte 0–2 m up on trunks of trees including Rhododendron malayanum Jack (Ericaceae) or palms including Livistona tahanensis Ridl. (Palmae)
 
Lithophytes   —   Plants that grow in or on rocks
In light shade to deep shade on ridge crest in lower montane forest from c. 1100 to 1600 m.
