Description

Begonia integrifolia is a species of herb belonging to the Begoniaceae family. It has a translucent stem with red or pale green colour, and can grow up to 25 cm tall. The leaves are broadly ovate, asymmetric, distant, and up to 2–13 cm apart. The colour of the leaves is dull pale green on top and mid-green and pale reddish beneath, sometimes covered with silver spots. This begonia is usually found on bare earth slopes among rocks. It is distributed in India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Peninsular Malaysia (Kiew, 2005).
