Description
Aerodramus brevirostris or commonly known as Himalayan Swiftlet is a species of bird in the family Apodidae, measuring approximately 13 cm long (Jeyarajasingam & Pearson, 2012). This swiftlet is a highland species, with a preference for feeding in open areas in forests, such as river valleys. It occurs in the forest edge and open country and feeds in small flocks. The Himalayan Swiftlet can be found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Viet Nam (IUCN, 2017).
