Description

A close counterpart of the Javan Keelback, the Chequered Keelback is a harmless snake that is usually found near water.  Similar to the Javan Keelback, this snake feeds on frogs and fish, and also a member of the Natricidae family. It inhabits riverbanks, swamps and rice paddies (Rusli et al., 2016).
