Occidozyga martensii is a short and thick frog with a broad head. Its head is oval-shaped rather flattened and the colour is brownish gray. This species has no canthus rostralis and its tympanum is covered with skin. The head is brownish gray and flecked with darker markings. There is a lighter spots on the tip of snout and along upper lip. The dorsal part of body is brownish gray and its venter is yellowish white. The measurements of snout-vent length (SV) of this species are about 25.5 mm. Its natural habitat is in primary forest. In Ulu Muda Forest Reserve, this species was collected in forest floor. This species can be found in China, Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
