Description
Chlidonias hybrida or commonly known as Whiskered Tern is a species of seabird belong to family Laridae. It also known as Camar Batu Berumbai in Malay. This bird can be measured about 28 cm in length. During the non-breeding season, Whiskered Tern has uniformly grey upperparts, black bill and streak behind its eyes and white forehead, sides of head and upperparts. While on the breeding season, this species develops a black cap, red bill and dark grey breast, mantle and upperbelly (Strange & Jeyarajasingam, 1993).
