The Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher (Cyornis brunneatus) is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. It is distinguished from other Jungle Flycatcher by yellow lower mandible and faint grey or brown scallops on its whitish throat (Phillipps, 2014). The bill is black with yellow mandible. This species is found in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand and can be found in lowland tropical forest and mangrove forest. The major threat to this species is the continuous loss and fragmentation of habitat in both its breeding and non-breeding ranges. This species is listed by IUCN Red List as Vulnerable (IUCN, 20160).
