Description
The streaked wren-babbler, Turdinus brevicaudatus is a small bird, measuring between 12 and 17 cm. Despite its brown short tail, it has heavy blackish streakings above, and dull below. It also has a streaked whitish throat and breast. The streaked wren-babbler occurs in India, China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam and can be found near rocky outcrops and limestone areas. This species forages in pairs or small groups and feeds on insects, grubs and small molluscs. This species is quite common across of its range, so it is listed as least concern in IUCN Red List.
