Description
The Chestnut-winged Babbler or known locally as Kekicau Sayap Perang, is a species of bird belonging to the family Timaliidae. The Chestnut-winged Babbler can grow up to 14 cm long and has blue orbital skin and rictal area. The colour of the sides of its head, throat and breast are greyish. It has chestnut wings and tail. Sometimes, the bare cobalt blue skin on the sides of its neck can be seen. This species can be found in Tenasserim (Myanmar) through the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra and Borneo and commonly occurs in the lowlands and hills up to 800m (Jeyarajasingam & Pearson, 2012).
