Description

The Rough-scaled Skink has body scales that each bears five or seven very strong keels. The body may be uniform olive-green above or may bear five or seven yellowish longitudinal lines or series of spots and the undersurface is greenish-white. This uncommon skink inhabits little-disturbed rainforest from lowlands to above 1,200m altitude and apparently favours areas near water.
