Bornean Striped Skink (Lipinia inexpectata) is a small and endemic skink in Borneo. It is measured around 40.6 mm SVL. It has tan-brown colour with a series of dark grey-brown stripes at the back. Like other skink species, the Bornean Striped Skink does not have external ear opening. It is commonly found in rotting logs. It lays clutches comprising two eggs. The species epithet is referring to the unexpected nature of the discovery of the type series (Das, 2010).
