Description
Agriocnemis femina (Pinhead Midget) is a tiny sized damselfly with 10mm hindwing measure. It can easily be recognized by its long inferior anal appendage but can also be a confusing species because the colour changes with maturity. The female is polymorphic which it can appears bright red when juvenile and olive with variable markings when matured (Orr, 2005). This species can be found in disturbed and open areas with the altitude up to 1600m above sea level. It is widespread in Indo-Australian tropics (Orr, 2005; Dow, 2020).
