Description

Coeliccia didyma (Twin-spotted Sylvan) is a damselfly species in family Platycnemididae. Its hindwings are measured up to 23 mm. It can be recognized by twin paired blue spots above the synthorax, partly blue on section 9 of the abdomen and entirely on section 10 with black anal appendage. Meanwhile, female has a pale greenish straight band above its synthorax and dark abdomen. Twin-spotted Sylvan is commonly found in forests in vicinity of seepages up to 1000 m and it is widespread in mainland tropical Asia (Orr, 2005).
