Description

This fungus is a very fragile and the best time to observe this fungus is early in the morning as the fruiting body soon collapses as the day gets warmer. This delicate fungus is very difficult to collect as it easily collapses upon handling. A small, thin, white, loose and membranous ring can be found about mid-way along the stem. This fungus generally appears on the forest floor just after the wet season begins but it is difficult to find during the rainy season as it is easily destroyed by heavy rain. Commonly, it is at FRIM and in lowland rainforests in Peninsular Malaysia.
