This species is called Stripes-face Brackish Goby. It has elongate and compressed body; slightly depressed head; sensory canals and pores present on head and distinct transverse pattern of sensory-papillae rows on cheek. Its head and body are grayish yellow dorsally that becoming paler ventrally; numerous blackish or dark gray speckles on head and body and oblique dusky streaks from eye to cheek and middle of upper jaw. It is found in mangrove swamps.
