The cap of this fungus is convex, broadly umbonate, smooth and silky, dry and white with a greyish brown umbo. The gills are white at first, turning pinkish and very crowded while the stipe is solid, cylindrical, white, scufy below the ring and smooth to striate elsewhere. The double ring is fleshy, persistent, white and attached to the upper quarter of the stipe. This fungus can be found in all states of Peninsular Malaysia and is abundant in cocoa, oil palm and rubber estates as well as in gardens, orchards and pastures or anywhere where termites are present.
