Charopa lafargei is an endemic land snail species belonging to the family Charopidae. C. larfargei has a minute, rather thin, creamy white shell. This species lives in an isolated limestone hill at Gunung Kanthan in Peninsular Malaysia and was found on limestone rock outcrops within the primary limestone forest. However, there is a cement company quarrying the limestone hill 3.5 miles south-west of the hill and there is also oil palm plantation near that area. These will eventually lead to habitat loss and the extinction of this species if no measure is being taken.
