Description

Sekayu Striped Skink (Lipinia sekayuensis) is a small skink found only in lowlands of northeastern Peninsular Malaysia. It is measured around 42.3 mm SVL. This skink does not have external ear opening and replaced by a scaly, auditory depression. It has a unicolor dark brown dorsum bearing nine very faint, diffuse, darker stripes on each side of the body. The species epithet is named after the type locality, where it was found (Grismer et al., 2014).
