Description
Libellago stigmatizans (Orange-faced Gem) is a small damselfly species under family Chlorocyphidae. Its hindwing measures up to 17 mm. The male individual has light yellow marking on body and a very obvious orange marking on its face. However, the female individual is rather dull in yellowish brown colour. This species is widespread in Peninsular Malaysia, southern Sumatra and southern Thailand (Orr, 2005), but it is absent from Borneo (Orr, 2003). Orange-faced Gem breeds around log jams in clear lowland forest streams as well as secondary forest and plantation (Dow, 2009).
