Description

Archibasis rebeccae, commonly known as Rebecca’s Sprite is a damselfly species in the family Coenagrionidae. Its hindwing may measure up to 21.5mm. This species has definitive anal appendages and the superior anal appendage strongly cubbed. It also has same marked as A. incisura but smaller, with tiny blue spots on S10 dorsum. The Rebecca’s Sprite can be found in lowland forest stream and appears to be endemic to Peninsular Malaysia (Orr, 2005). In Peninsular Malaysia, it is recorded in Johor, Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu (Dow, 2019).
