Description
Mortonagrion arthuri (Arthur’s Midget) is a damselfly species in the family Coenagrionidae. Its hindwing may measure up to 17 mm. It has short superior anal appendage while the inferior anal appendage is longer than abdominal segment 10. This damselfly is known from a single discoloured specimen from a garden in Butterworth which had been collected by Arthur Wheeler (Orr, 2005). It occurs in mangrove but it has been found in other types of coastal forest and appears to be a specialist in coastal and island habitats (Dow, 2020).
