Description
Burmagomphus plagiatus is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. This species can be easily recognized by distinctive thoracic pattern. The hindwing may measure from 21-22 mm for male. Meanwhile, female hindwing may measure around 24 mm and its thoracic has similar marking as in male. B. plagiatus is commonly found in small sluggish streams with mud or sand bottom or faster clear streams in open country or forest at the altitude up to 600 m above sea level. It is widespread in Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra (Orr, 2005).
