Description
Burmagomphus divaricatus is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. Its hindwing may measure up to 23 mm. The thoracic markings in males are clearly different from B. plagiatus. It also has thin inferior anal appendage with divergent arms. B. divaricatus is commonly found in slow-flowing muddy streams in open and lightly forested country, including disturbed forests and narrow corridors of forest running through agricultural land. It prefers slightly brackish conditions and is widespread in Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand and Laos (Orr, 2005).
