Taxonomy

Description

Drepanosticta marsyas is a damselfly species in the family Platystictidae. Its hindwing may measures up to 18.5mm while the abdomen to anal appendages is 28mm long. D. marsyas has different shape of anal appendage from D. pan and D. silenus. The tuft of setae on its superior anal appendage directed inward and slightly upward. It also has a similar marking as in D. silenus. This species is commonly found in the montane forest (Orr, 2005).
